Application software vs system software.

Computer software is divided into 2 system which is application software and system software.There is difference in terms of definations and its usage.

• DEFINATIONS : System software consists of the programs that control or maintain the operations of the computer and its devices.

Application software consists of programs designed to make users more productive or assist them with personal tasks.

• FUNCTIONS : system software serves as the interface or medium between the user, the application software and the computer's hardware.

Application software consists of word processing software, spreadsheet software, databae software, and presentation graphics software.This enable the users to perform a variety of tasks easily, efficiently and error -free results..Insya Allah..

• TYPES : Only system software has 2 types which are operating system and utility system.Operating system(OS) is a set of programs that coordinates all the activities among computer hardware devices.It also provides a means or tools for users to communicate with the computer and other software.Eg : Window vista, Mac OS X , Apple's operating system.So, when you starts your computer, portion of your operating system load into memory from the computer's hard disk.It remains in the memory while the computer is still on.Meanwhile, utility programs allows user to perform maintenance-types tasks usually related to managing a computer,its devices, or its programs.eg: file manager, search utility, image viewer, personal firewall, disk defragmenter, screen saver and many more.

On the whole, computer need both of this software to function fully.they need each other like isi dengan kuku, suami and isteri ( sir haswira ).

Function of Input and output.

Basically, computer contains many electric, electronic and mechanical components known as hardware.
Hardware consists of:
1. Input devices
2.output devices
3. a system unit
4.Storage devices
5. Communication devices


Therefore, under the input devices I will explain about what are input and its functions. Firstly, what is input? Input is actually any data and instructions that entered into the memory of computer. Meanwhile, input devices is any hardware components that allows users to enter data and instructions into a computer. Eg: keyboard and mouse. So, you need to have right devices to input your data in the computers. Input consists of data- a collection of unprocessed items, which can include text, numbers, images, audio and video. Have I answered the function yet? It’s so hard to tell because the input is not something that can function but rather need something which is devices to give function. You know what I mean??

Same thing goes to output. Output is data that has been processed into a useful form aka information. Eg: display devices or printers. when you works with computer, you will encounters 4 basic categories of output :
a)Text
b)Graphics
c)Audio
d)Video


An output devices is any hardware components that conveys information to one or more people.

Tips on discipline ourselves when using computer and internet.


Firstly,after what i had say before..now,we look for the solutions to overcome bad influences from computer.. Especially for university's students..

One way to discipline ourself is by stricting the time we use the computer..give a limit time when can we use computer..especially internet.. . this is important if you are a university student.

Secondly,you need to tell yourself to surf only for the sake of knowledge..not for entertainment..this is because you will get carry away easily until you dont realize how much time you have spent..there is a lot of website you can surf like utusan online,howstuffwork and so on..

Besides,remember back you mission..If you are now a university student,you should remember that you need to focus on your study..If not,you gred will suffer..Easy tips for me is put your motivation notes besides your computer's screen..it definately remind you back to your main purpose...

In conclusion, you need to discipline yourself in order not to become victims of computers.A lot of measures are need to overcome this problem.It is all comes from your intention and willingness.

My perspective about computer.

Assalamualaikum,my name is Nur Hanisa Binti Zulkifli.I'm a law student study at UiTM,Merbok kedah.Writing blog is my first experience because our lecture wants us to create our own blog. Quite hard to manage actually..below will be my assignment's title..

My perspective about computer
Well...firstly, computer does really bring a lot of benefits to us..i cant imagine our life without computer...

But! it also got some negative side..very bad influence!! it depends on us to see whether it is good or bad.. we decide which way and how we want to view it..

The computer is useful because it offers us a window to the world..unlike the tv that merely offers passive programs,the computer always authentic communication with people around the world.The internet chat lines offers us the experiences and lives of so many people of different ages,nationalities and occupations.we can make friends through this service,which is more immediate and cheaper than any other forms of communication.

Also,the computer is a real blessing when it comes to the storage and retrivel of information.Thus,we have at our fingertips a wealth of information,and so,bieng of great importance in today's knowledge explosion.

But on the whole,the computer has many advantages that can make our lives far easier and efficient...the problems can be controlled if we discipline ourselves and not being carried away by this tool of man...Insya Allah.....
